"Wherever you go, there you are."

A lot of new people here, hello and welcome! I hope these newsletters feel fruitful with all the opportunities and offerings you may hope for :)

...........................................

After decades of curiosity around what actually creates authentic joy, happiness, and contentment, I always come back to one thing, connection. Connection to nature, to ourselves, and to each other.

It’s something I’ve circled back to again and again over time, especially in moments when life has forced me to slow down or let go of what I thought mattered. There’s a way things start to come into focus when your world gets quieter, or smaller, or just different than you expected.

The things that once felt unexciting or ordinary don’t feel just ordinary anymore. They feel like the heart of what life is about. A walk around the block, having a safe home to live in, even just a moment where your body feels at ease or a full breath comes easily can feel like more than enough.

There are other things that can add richness to life, like travel, good food, or meaningful experiences. I am not diminishing the role of joy and pleasure. These things can be deeply nourishing and are often an integral part of healing. They can bring you closer to yourself and offer lessons along the way, while also reminding you how to feel, to play, and to experience joy; all things our nervous systems need to truly flourish.

But it matters where the drive comes from. Research in psychology and neuroscience consistently shows that authenticity, and living in alignment with your values are linked to greater well-being and a deeper sense of meaning. When our actions are rooted in connection to ourselves, to our truth, and to others, even simple experiences can feel alive and meaningful. Without that foundation, even the most extravagant adventures or pleasures can feel hollow, like motion without meaning, or like trying to fill a void that cannot be filled. Instead, they become a distraction from your deeper sense of oneness. As the saying goes, “Wherever you go, there you are.”

Without a deep sense to connection, those things rival in comparison to the feeling of sitting across from someone who truly sees you, the quiet grounding of touching a tree, inhaling fresh air, or even at times surrendering into deep grief and allowing it to move through the body.

In the times I’ve been housebound or even bed bound due to life circumstances, I had to set aside my dreams and the way I thought I would move through life. I had to relinquish the freedom of choice I once took for granted and learn to listen to the story my body was living, which was very different from the story my mind thought things were supposed to be. Even in that, I wanted a place to still believe, a space where joy could still feel possible, even though the ways I had always believed it would come had changed.

That’s the direction behind Wilderness & Co. and what I’m slowly building towards: a space and community where people simply show up, see each other, accept each other, and connect in the ways that actually matter.

If you’re looking for a place to show up as you are, to connect, and to be seen, you’re in the right place. Come try a class, attend a workshop, or simply stay connected with this community as it grows.

Reply to this email if you have questions or reflections. I’m so glad you’re here.

Here is what is happening right now in my world of offerings...

One-on-One Work with me:

Wilderness & Co. Live Online Community Space

Wilderness & Co. is a space that has been in the works for over a year. Wilderness & Co. offers a gentle, grounded space to land. A place where you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Where support is steady, offerings are meaningful, and healing is allowed to be honest. The Wilderness in the name is self-explanatory, and the “& Co.” is the community. It’s the coaches, therapists, naturopaths, guides, and soul-stirrers who walk alongside you. The ones who believe in moving honestly, supporting the nervous system, and meeting you where you are. This space is slowly becoming, and I hope you want to be a part of it.
