Welcoming Laura Goellner—New teacher, new class!

Wilderness Dawn Cowan | MAY 27

Introducing Laura Goellner, the newest Yoga Teacher addition to the Wilderness & Co. team!

Laura Goellner is a yoga therapist and meditation teacher based in rural Northern Florida. Her practice began over two decades ago as a way to bring balance to a rigorous school schedule.

Her experience as a yoga teacher evolved parallel to her career as a therapist. After completing her B.A. in Psychology, Laura earned a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2009. The result is a style of teaching that blends mind-body science with the eight limbs of yoga.

Over 16 years as an Occupational Therapist, Laura utilized mindfulness, breathwork, and movement in her patient’s treatment plans. At the same time, the clinical goals of functional movement, healing, and nervous system regulation were infused in her yoga offerings. Becoming a certified yoga therapist was a natural step toward sharing yoga as a healing modality with those recovering from illness or injury.

Laura’s gentle flow classes are adaptable, anatomically informed, and spiritually rooted. She creates a space to build resilience in the body while connecting to inner guidance. The focus is on experiencing practice as a path of deeper connection to one’s self and life.

Kundalini yoga came into Laura’s life during a particularly challenging time. The powerful movements, breath, and mantra offered a profound experience of spaciousness and freedom. She became certified in a modern, trauma-informed approach to this transformational practice.

A forever student, Laura is training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and continues to dive deeper into yoga philosophy as a way to navigate the challenges of being human. When not on her yoga mat, Laura is outside camping, hiking, and exploring the natural world with her dogs, Redford & Frankie.

New Class: Mindful Mobility Yoga

Laura is offering Mindful Mobility Yoga, a slow exploratory practice that blends mindfulness with intentional movement to support joint health, nervous system regulation and body awareness. Practice opens with a piece of mindful wisdom that is integrated into fluid, mobility-based yoga for greater brain-body connection. Grounding yet engaging, this class encourages curiosity and personal exploration so you step away feeling deeply connected.  Practice ends with an invitation to take the skills of mindfulness with you into the rest of your day.

When: Thursday's at 9am PST/12 EST on zoom

Join class to start your day on the west coast or for a mindful lunch break on the east. This class is 45 minutes so you can fit it in comfortably to your morning or lunch hour. First class June 4th.
