New weekly yoga class and Weekend Workshop: Coming Home to Yourself: Self-Compassion and Developing a Kinder Relationship with Yourself
Wilderness Dawn Cowan | JUN 25

Taught by Jordann
Tuesday's from12:00-12:30 PM PST
This class is a gentle, 30-minute practice designed to serve as a grounding pause, offering a restorative "reset" for both your body and mind during your busy day. This class functions as a gentle cleanse for the nervous system, focusing on supportive, restorative and Yin style poses held for extended periods to encourage deep softening and physical release.
Throughout the practice, you will be guided through Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed awareness, providing a structured yet meditative space to turn your attention inward. As you hold these shapes, you are invited to explore your "parts"—the various thoughts, emotions, and sensations that comprise your internal landscape—with curiosity and compassion, allowing you to reconnect with your center in a way that feels safe and sustainable.
Because this session focuses on slow, intentional movement and stillness, it is ideal for those seeking to soothe and reset, making it a perfect midday sanctuary to help you move out of a place of fragmentation and into a state of ease. No prior experience with yoga or IFS is required; all bodies and all levels of familiarity with internal inquiry are welcome. Whether you are looking for a moment of quiet reflection or a physical break from the stressors of your day, you will leave feeling grounded, held, and refreshed, with the clarity needed to navigate the remainder of your afternoon.
No props are required, but if you have a bolster, pillow, or blanket, etc. you are welcome and encouraged to use these throughout class.
About Jordann:
Jordann is a yoga instructor, holistic health coach, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner focused on helping individuals develop a greater sense of self-awareness and a balanced internal environment.
Her teaching practice spans over a decade, rooted in mindful movement and connection with the body's physical and emotional sensations. Her approach integrates the mechanics of yoga with the compassionate framework of IFS, offering space to align mental well-being with physical health. Jordann’s work is deeply informed by years of experience supporting neurodivergent clients through movement; this shapes her emphasis on accessibility, listening to the body’s cues, and developing a stronger sense of internal grounding.
In her classes, participants can expect a balanced practice blending intentional movement, functional breathwork, and self-inquiry, providing a quiet space to decompress from daily stressors and reconnect with all parts of themselves.
A workshop with Yani Mitra
Date: Sunday, June 28th, 10-11 PST
Investment: $20 per person
Have you ever noticed an inner voice that is quick to criticize, compare, or tell you that you're not doing enough? Many of us spend so much time striving, achieving, and caring for others that we rarely pause to consider how we speak to ourselves.
This workshop offers a supportive space to explore self-compassion, understand the roots of self-criticism, and develop a kinder relationship with yourself.
Drawing on principles from Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), mindfulness, and reflective practices, we will explore why self-criticism often develops, how it can affect our wellbeing, and practical ways to respond to ourselves with greater understanding and compassion.
Through guided reflection, discussion, grounding exercises, and experiential activities, participants will be introduced to the three emotional regulation systems used in CFT, explore the role of the inner critic, and begin cultivating their own compassionate inner voice.
This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in improving their relationship with themselves, managing perfectionism or self-doubt, and learning practical tools for greater self-compassion and emotional wellbeing.
About your facilitator:
Yani Mitra is a mental health practitioner, facilitator, and incoming Clinical Psychology Doctoral trainee. She has experience working across specialist mental health and clinical research settings in both the UK and the United States, supporting individuals experiencing a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
Her interests lie in self-compassion, identity, relationships, and understanding the deeper stories that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Drawing from psychodynamic, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-informed perspectives, Yani is particularly interested in helping people explore patterns of self-criticism, shame, and emotional wellbeing with curiosity and compassion.
She is passionate about creating spaces where psychology feels less like something to learn and more like something to experience, inviting people into deeper self-understanding, self-compassion, and connection. Her approach is grounded in curiosity, inclusivity, and an appreciation for the diverse experiences, identities, and stories that shape how we make sense of ourselves and the world around us.
Weekly group yoga class, Wednesdays online, 4-5 pm PST

Meditative Therapeutic Yoga is a breath- and alignment-focused practice designed to calm the mind, restore the body, and center your energy. Each class begins with a theme, followed by a guided meditation with mudra and mantra, then moves into therapeutic postures with flowing breath, helping you tune into subtle energy, sensation, and your own inner guidance.
Weekly group yoga class, Thursdays online, 9-9:45 am PST

Mindful Mobility Yoga is a slow exploratory practice that blends mindfulness with intentional movement to support joint health, nervous system regulation, and body awareness. The class opens with a piece of mindful wisdom that is integrated into fluid, mobility-based yoga for greater brain-body connection. Grounding yet engaging, this class encourages curiosity and personal exploration so you step away feeling deeply connected. The class ends with an invitation to take the skills of mindfulness with you into the rest of your day.

Two options to join, one Thursday and one Sunday of the month.
Facilitated by Board-Certified Music Therapist Natalie Duque, this experience uses live therapeutic sound, including singing bowls, Koshi chimes, tongue drum, rain stick, and other soothing acoustic instruments, to quiet the mind and prepare the body for a deep reset to gently guide your nervous system back toward balance.
I offer private yoga sessions, yoga teacher mentorship and Mind-body Wellness Coaching.
